Review of Kauhale Makai
The condo unit we rented could have been cleaner. When we first checked in it seemed spotless but we noticed the toilet had not been cleaned properly and the blankets that were folded in the closet had lots of stray black hairs on them. The mattress cover on the pull out bed had a few rust stains as well. Normally I am not super- picky but considering we are in the age of Covid-19 I feel like these issues should not have been over looked.
The pool was a bit small and was not heated. I preferred to snorkel in the ocean most days as the ocean water was warmer than the pool.
There were four of us in a one bedroom unit. There was plenty of space but the only bathroom was in the bedroom which made it a little inconvenient for those of us who were sleeping on the couch.
The lanai was nice and large and had a great view overlooking the pool and beach in the distance. We were on an end unit so we also had a view of the mountains on the other side.
There is plenty of parking in the lot and although you have a designated space you can still park close to your room for loading and unloading.
